Queen for the Day!

Yesterday, my dh came back from duty at the Hospital. Poor thing had to work for 32 hours straight! The awful thing is that after Dec, he will have duty for 48 hours... jeez, the people he works for are AWFUL! They dont consider their workingman's needs. Poor guy is under so much stress...

So we decided to have a fun day at the mall. Tim went to the Cyber Arena to play war games on the computer and I went around the mall to kill time. I used my pedicure gift certificate from Christmas, and it was awwwesome! It was my first one and man, did I need one!! I wasnt able to reach my feet for 10 months being pregnant and I was too busy to while I took care of Landon. I picked a beautiful shade of red, ooh la la!

I also went to Carter's and there was a baby sale! I got Landon a whole bunch of thick outfits for 6 bucks each, good deal!! I also went to Forever 21 (My fave store) and got some cute outfits. ..

I am now at home, trying to keep busy. My dh has to pick a friend up from the airport and I probably wont see him until after dinner. I was soooo hyper from taking a diet pill today and went into a cleaning frenzy around the house. I also installed Landon's Christmas presents. Wow.. Im so proud, I went from a size 14 to a size 10 in 2 months.. I want to be back to a size 5, my pre-pregnancy weight!

We had a great Christmas!! We woke up in the morning and opened presents. Tim was so excited that he made me wake up early!pfft...

He got me greaaat presents, it was SO sweet! He liked what I got him too.

Landon's grandma got him a jungle gym and we put it next to Landon while we opened presents and Landon kept turning his head to look at it, and he kept making loud noises, oooh-ing and ahh-ing for 10mins straight. I laughed so much!

Afterwards, we made Christmas cookies and brought them to a small party our friends were having. It was greaaaat.

I cant believe Christmas is over already! *wah*

Today was Landon's pediatrician appointment. He weighs 14lbs and 4oz, and is 24 1/2 inches, big baby!

They had to give him 4 shots on both legs and ohhh it broke my heart seeing him cry in pain! I wanted to take his place for him. I tried distracting him by ratting his toy and squeezing his hand. He bawled.. :(

He was such a good boy. Daddy held him and then it was my turn. His lips were curled under and his eyes were wet with tears. I kissed him and rocked him gentley. He seemed to feel better within a few minutes. He was fast asleep.

Then they told me I had to have my flu shots so I wouldnt give it to Landon, because he's too young to have his shot. Ahh! I hate needles SOOO much but I did it for my baby. Ouch!

Purty Baby

Whew.. last night, I visited my husband when he had duty @ the Hospital. I was feeling sick still.. and getting worse, so he insisted that I see the doctor while I was still there. They said I had a really bad virus and drugged me up big time! I was so woozy.. but then I woke up and now I feel pretty good.

I finally finished Christmas shopping for my hubby. I got him something I think he'd definintely love. Whew, I am done shopping. It was so stressful this time, making sure he'd love the gifts I got him, and Im usually a shop-a-holic, but this time, Im beat!

The local mall is having a baby contest and Im going to enter Landon in it. Itll be fun! The winner gets a 25,000 scholarship for college in the future. Its definintely worth a shot! I already think my babys the most beautiful baby in the wOrld! <3

6 Days til Christmas!

*groans* Im so sick! barf.... mustve been my fault walking barefoot in the snow. I know.. I know.. dumb choice but my high heels were hurting me. I think I gave whatever it is I have to my hubby, whoops. I better be careful around Landon!

I am so tired, I just spent all day yesterday and today Christmas shopping! I am done.. but geez, my hubby got me lots of presents, so I wanna give him more. Pfft.. but hes so sweeeeet <3>

We got Landon some good stuff too... a plush blanket, lots of books to read to him and a Baby Einstein video :D His family also got him a lot, and our Christmas tree is packed!

Christmas Luncheon

Yesterday, My hubby and I went to his staff Christmas luncheon. It was really nice. They have those things during holidays. We played the gift exchange game and we won a bag of chocolate covered popcorn... weeird, but it tastes good.

We watched this movie called JFK, about Kenndy, and my husband says it is in his top 5 list now. It was a really good movie and I recommend it.

Aww, Landons so cute right now. Hes on my lap, all wrapped up in a big blanket like an eskimo and hes trying to play with mommy.

Tim's gonna come home early today and its Friday, yippee!!

Aww, Landons talking to the tv lol. Hes a movie buff, just like daddy! I forgot that on Sunday, he turned 2months old, *wah* My baby!!!

I cooked a fancy, romantic dinner for my hubby last night. He came home and was surprised, hehe. I had candles laid out on the table. I made salad, an appetizer and a blended Strawberry Daquiri (yucccck, alcohol!!) lol. I should do that more often.. just surprise him out of the blue ;)

Im talking to my mom and sister online. They both were here in Illinois during my pregnancy, but they went back to California last month. I miss them SOO much. They were all I had my whole life, and they will forever be my best friends. Boy, I miss having my 'girlfriends' around here to do stuff with. .. at least, I can talk to them everyday online. Here is a pic of my beautiful mum' and my gorgeous sister! (shes gonna kill me if I post a pic of her, shhhh)

A Saturday All to Myself

My hubby has duty tonight, so its just me and Landon. I cleaned up the house like crazy. I was in the mood, so I took advantage of it. Man, Im craving Chipotle! Its my favorite place to eat at around here. Maybe tonight Ill play around and put rollers in my hair overnight, like in my cheerleading days.

I remember being pregnant for 10 and a half months.. I was so late, my gosh. I waddled around like a bloated penquin.. and it was exhausting!! Never did I know that once I saw my beautiful baby, Id want to do it all over again. The only way I can explain motherhood is that.. my heart grew arms, and it holds Landon so tight, and it grew claws, that Id do anything to protect him. I want to be the best mom in the world to him, and give him all the good things in this world and hide him from all the bad. My heart melts when I see him look at me and smile. I even think his poop is so cute! lol. Being a mother is so amazing, so powerful.. and it even makes me think about God.. how he felt about Jesus when he was on the cross.. that shows how much he loves us.. cuz I wouldnt put Landon on the cross for anything! I say thank you to God, for giving us Jesus.. and for giving me Landon.

Id like to write an entry about my husband, Tim. He is my first love and my only love. We have been married for a little over a year but it feels as if Ive been with him a lifetime, only because I feel like my heart has found its home within him. Sometimes I like to look at him and pretend that it my first time ever seeing him. I say to myself, that's my husband, and how incredibly handsome is he. I know in my heart that I cannot imagine life without him, and that we have a love that lasts forever.

Introducing Myself

Hi, my name is Charlene. I am new to this, and thanks to Crazymomma for introducing me to Blogs. :) :) .... where will I start? I am happily married to my first love, Tim. We got married on July 19, 2003. The wedding was filled with roses and candelight. It was the most perfect day. He joined the Navy on Aug 03, and we were stationed here in Illinois. Its no California, but its not bad. It was a tough yr financially. We had a lot to learn about budgeting, but thanks to my mom who helped us get back on our own two feet.. and just in time for my baby's arrival! Landon James was born on Oct 12, 2004. I fell in love with him and he's so beautiful. I love being a mommy! I remember when I was growing up, I would always say that Id be a career woman and never settle for the normal life and have a husband and kid.. but then I fell in love and couldnt imagine my life without him and just when I thought I couldnt fall in love with another man, along came by baby and theres nothing like it.
